About Sun-A-Lux Products
The founder of American Environmental Products, Mr. Bolta, is an international lighting expert and environmental consultant. He has worked on projects for NASA, MIT, Bechtel, Disneyland, General Mills, Sears, William McDonough + Partners and others. Mr. Bolta is past founder and president of what is now American Lighting, Inc. and has been working with lighting and electro-magnetics since 1973. Mr. Bolta holds a number of patents and trademarks in the lighting industry.
Mr. Bolta sold American Lighting in 1990 to free him up to pursue sustainable environmental lighting designs. Returning from a 5 year sabbatical, in 1995 established American Environmental Products, Inc. Since that time, has designed and filed over a dozen patents in environmentally correct lighting and extreme emergency lighting.
Mr. Bolta was recently moved by two major events, 9/11 and the effects of full spectrum lighting and electro-magnetic fields (EMFs) on children in classrooms. Earlier research has shown a positive effect of full spectrum lighting and reduced electro-magnetic fields (EMFs) on children in the classroom. Therefore full spectrum designs in lighting coupled with reduction of EMFs became his pet project. A not-for-profit foundation for the benefit of improving the environmental impact on children in classrooms is in the works. (Please see Articles on Home Page menu). 9/11 struck and Mr. Bolta was working on some advanced full spectrum afterglow lighting for Trident Nuclear Submarines. Mr. Bolta had met the year before, the Chief of Technical Staff for the Pentagon building and had called him and asked him if he would like Mr. Bolta to work on designing extreme explosion proof lighting for the building. That inspired Mr. Bolta to develop a number of extreme emergency lighting designs to help save lives and enhance the rescue process. On August 14, 2003 the largest power outage to hit America happened. Millions of people were affected and the use of these new generation extreme emergency lighting products showed their true value. The development of new technologies is a great asset. The implementation and use of the technologies is a greater asset. |
